Setting Newsletter to Yes by default in Opencart

In catalog/controller/account/register.php file

find :
$this->data['newsletter'] = '';

change it to :
$this->data['newsletter'] = 1;

Banner image not sorted by filename in Opencart

catalog\model\design\banner.php

in line 4: add (." ORDER BY image ASC")

cURL is not ON in Opencart

I quote the tutorial that i'm found from google. I have followed and its works . Here we go :

1. Close WAMP (if running)
2. Navigate to WAMP\bin\php\(your version of php)\
3. edit php.ini
4. Search for curl, uncomment extension=php_curl.dll
5. Navigate to WAMP\bin\Apache\(your version of apache)\bin\
6. edit php.ini
7. Search for curl, uncomment extension=php_curl.dll
8. Save both
9. Restart WAMP

How to remove Powered By OpenCart

Goto : catalog>view>theme>default>template>common

and edit footer.tpl

comment the line

<div id="powered"><?php echo $powered; ?></div>

with this

<!-- <div id="powered"><?php echo $powered; ?></div> //-->
